WACKER ® 1038
Silicone release agent
Product Features
Wacker's silicone release agent 1038 is a reaction product of silicone resin and silicone oil. The release film it forms has superior affinity compared to films obtained from silicone fluids modified with polydimethylsiloxane and many moderately viscous organic functional groups.
Product Applications
Wacker silicone release agent 1038 for varnishes and mold release additives
In the topcoat, WACKER's silicone release agent 1038 is used as a paint conditioner, enhancing the washability of the topcoat, increasing color depth and luster, without affecting the product's erasability.
Wacker's silicone mold release agent 1038 combines the benefits of silicone resins and silicone fluids. For instance, formulations incorporating Wacker's silicone mold release 1038 during the production of microporous polyurethane foams demonstrate efficient demolding properties and satisfactory coating and bonding performance.
