I: Overview
The DZW series electric actuators for valves are a new generation of products that our company has improved and refined the structure of our mature products, optimized the protective performance and key components, and are completely independently developed. They feature a compact structure, small size, aesthetically pleasing appearance, and stable and reliable performance. With a good protection rating, they can meet the needs of various designs: explosion-proof, overall switch-type, and overall adjustment-type.
The DZW series is designed for controlling the opening and closing of valves. Suitable for gate valves, stop valves, shutoff valves, diaphragm valves, and its derivative products can be used for ball valves, butterfly valves, and air doors, etc. It can accurately actuate according to control commands, and is an indispensable driving device for remote, centralized, and automatic control of valves.
This product meets the requirements of JB/T8528-1997 (Technical Conditions for Electric Actuators of General Valves) and the performance of explosion-proof types conforms to GB3836.1-2000 (Part 1 of Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres: General Requirements), GB3836.2-2000 (Part 2 of Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres: Explosion-Proof Type "d"), and JB/T8529-1997 (Technical Conditions for Explosion-Proof Electric Actuators).

Three: Adjust
Adjusting the torque, during travel, it is essential to check if the potentiometer on the position indicator is disengaged (loosen the set screw on the gear of the potentiometer shaft to disengage) to prevent damage.
Torque control mechanism adjustment:
Firstly, adjust the torque.
(2) Begin with a low torque value and gradually increase it until the valve is fully closed.
(3) Adjust the torque of the on/off direction based on the valve's operating characteristics; typically, the torque for the open direction is greater than that for the close direction.
(4) Adjustments are made under conditions of no load, no medium pressure, etc. When there is pressure and temperature, attention should be paid to whether it can be tightly sealed. If it cannot be sealed tightly, the torque value should be appropriately increased to ensure it can be tightly sealed and easily opened.
2. Traveler control mechanism adjustment:
(1) Manually close the valve tightly.
(2) Disengage the stroke control mechanism by using a screwdriver to push the top rod in the stroke control mechanism and rotate it 90°, thereby separating the driving pinion from the counter's unit gear set.
(3) Rotate the "OFF" position with a screwdriver until the cam engages the spring plate, following the arrow direction until the microswitch actuates. This indicates that the initial "OFF" stroke is properly adjusted.

At this point, you can electrically turn it a few rotations, then close it. Check if the closing stroke meets the requirements. If not, adjust it again following the aforementioned procedure.
(5) Direction Adjustment: After the closed direction is adjusted, manually open the valve to the desired position. Then, disengage the stroke control mechanism, rotate the "open" adjustment shaft in the direction of the arrow until the cam presses against the spring plate, causing the microswitch to actuate. Reengage the stroke mechanism with the driving gear, and the open stroke adjustment is complete. After adjusting the stroke control mechanism, repeat the operation a few times. Generally, the valve is opened to about 90%.
3. Adjustable Opening Indicator Adjustment:
Adjust the adjustable opening indicator and remote potentiometer after adjusting the gear ratio and stroke.
