I: Overview
The DZW series electric actuators for valves are a new generation of products that our company has developed and improved upon our mature products, optimizing protection performance and key components. They are entirely self-developed, featuring compact structure, small size, attractive appearance, and stable and reliable performance. The good protection grade meets the needs of various designs: explosion-proof, overall switch type, and overall regulating type.
The DZW series is used to control the opening and closing of valves. Suitable for gate valves, stop valves, shutoff valves, diaphragm valves, and its derivative products can be used for ball valves, butterfly valves, and dampers, etc. It can accurately respond to control commands, and is an indispensable driving device for remote control, centralized control, and automatic control of valves.
This product meets the specifications of JB/T8528-1997 (Technical Conditions for Electric Actuators of General Valves) and the performance of explosion-proof types conforms to GB3836.1-2000 (Part 1 of Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Environment: General Requirements), GB3836.2-2000 (Part 2 of Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Environment: Explosion-Proof Type "d"), and JB/T8529-1997 (Technical Conditions for Explosion-Proof Electric Actuators).

Three: Adjust
Adjust the torque, while in motion, ensure the potentiometer on the position indicator is disengaged (loosen the set screw on the gear of the potentiometer shaft to disengage) to prevent damage.
Torque control mechanism adjustment:
Firstly, adjust the torque.
(2) Start with a low torque value and gradually increase it until the valve is fully closed.
(3) Adjust the torque for switching direction based on the valve's operational characteristics; typically, the opening torque is greater than the closing torque.
(4) Adjustments above are made under conditions of no-load and no-medium pressure. When there is pressure and temperature, attention should be given to whether it can be tightly sealed. If it cannot be tightly sealed, the torque value should be appropriately increased to ensure it can be tightly sealed and easily opened.
2. Traveler control mechanism adjustment:
(1) Close the valve manually.
(2) Disengage the stroke control mechanism by using a screwdriver to push the top rod in the stroke control mechanism and turn it 90°, thereby separating the driving pinion from the counter's unit gear set.
(3) Rotate the "OFF" position with a screwdriver towards the adjustment shaft, continue rotating in the direction of the arrow until the cam presses against the spring plate, stopping when the microswitch actuates. This indicates the initial adjustment of the "OFF" stroke is complete.

At this point, you can electrically open it a few turns, then close it, and check if the closing stroke meets the requirements. If not, you can adjust it again following the aforementioned procedure.
(5) Adjustment of Opening Direction: After the closing direction is adjusted, manually open the valve to the desired position. Then, disengage the stroke control mechanism, rotate the "open" adjustment shaft in the direction of the arrow until the cam presses against the spring plate, causing the micro-switch to actuate. Once the stroke mechanism engages with the driving gear, the opening stroke is complete. After adjusting the stroke control mechanism, it can be operated repeatedly. Generally, the opening of the valve is controlled around 90%.
3. Adjustable opening indicator adjustment:
Adjust the adjustable opening indicator and remote potentiometer after adjusting the gear ratio and travel.
