I. Overview
The DZW series electric actuators for valves are our company's improved and optimized version of a mature product, featuring enhanced protective performance and key components, and are a completely independently developed new generation product. They boast compact structure, small size, attractive appearance, and stable and reliable performance. The high protection level meets various design requirements: explosion-proof, overall on/off type, and overall regulating type.
The DZW series is used for controlling the opening and closing of valves. Suitable for gate valves, stop valves, shutoff valves, diaphragm valves, and its derivative products can be applied to ball valves, butterfly valves, and air gates, etc. It can accurately respond to control commands, and is an indispensable driving device for remote control, centralized control, and automatic control of valves.
This product's performance conforms to the requirements of JB/T8528-1997 (Technical Conditions for Electric Actuators of General Valves) and meets the specifications of GB3836.1-2000 (Part 1 of Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres: General Requirements), GB3836.2-2000 (Part 2 of Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres: Explosion-Proof Type "d"), as well as JB/T8529-1997 (Technical Conditions for Explosion-Proof Electric Actuators).

Three: Adjust
Adjust the torque while traveling. It is essential to check if the potentiometer on the position indicator is disengaged (loosen the set screw on the gear of the potentiometer shaft to disengage) to prevent damage.
Torque control mechanism adjustment:
Firstly, adjust the closing torque.
(2) Begin with a low torque value and gradually increase it until the valve is fully closed.
(3) Adjust the torque of the on/off direction based on the valve's operating characteristics; generally, the torque for the opening direction is larger than that for the closing direction.
(4) Adjustments above are made under conditions of no-load, no medium pressure, etc. When there is pressure and temperature, attention should be paid to whether it can be tightly sealed. If it cannot be sealed tightly, the torque value should be appropriately increased to ensure it can be tightly sealed and easily opened.
2. Travel control mechanism adjustment:
(1) Close the valve manually.
(2) Remove the stroke control mechanism by using a screwdriver to push the plunger in the stroke control mechanism and turn it 90°, thus disconnecting the driving pinion from the counter's unit gear set.
(3) Rotate the "OFF" position screwdriver towards the adjustment shaft, turning it in the direction of the arrow until the cam presses against the spring plate, causing the microswitch to activate. This indicates that the initial "OFF" travel has been properly adjusted.

At this point, you can electrically turn it a few rotations, then close it. Check if the closing stroke meets the requirements. If not, adjust it again following the aforementioned procedure.
(5) Valve Direction Adjustment: After adjusting the valve in the closed direction, manually open the valve to the desired position. Then disengage the stroke control mechanism, rotate the "open" adjustment shaft in the direction of the arrow until the cam presses against the spring plate, causing the microswitch to activate. Reengage the stroke mechanism with the driving gear, indicating the completion of the open direction stroke adjustment. After adjusting the stroke control mechanism, repeat the operation a few times. Generally, the valve opening is controlled around 90%.
3. Adjustment of the adjustable opening indicator:
Adjust the adjustable opening indicator and remote potentiometer after adjusting the torque and stroke.
