Low-temperature baked pet food ingredients are made by extruding raw materials into pet food granules at relatively low temperatures, without going through the high-temperature expansion process. Instead, the raw materials are baked and sterilized in an oven at around 90°C, followed by low-temperature dehydration using a drying machine.
