A DC torque motor is a special type of brushless permanent magnet synchronous motor. Since the load is directly connected to the rotor, no transmission components are required, making the torque motor a direct drive technology. The torque motor is also known as a "frameless" motor. This means the motor has no housing, bearings, or measurement system. These components are selected by the machine manufacturer based on the required performance, or purchased as a complete set.

The motor's modular annular ultra-thin structure is particularly suitable for applications with stringent space and weight requirements. This series of motors meets environmental operating temperature requirements from -50°C to +85°C.
