Voice Coil Linear Motors, also known as Lorentz Motors or Scanner Motors, derive their name from their structure resembling a loudspeaker's voice coil. These are high-speed direct-drive motors with zero magnetic hysteresis and cogging effects, featuring high-frequency response, acceleration, and speed, excellent force characteristics, easy control, compact size, and small resolution. Internationally, voice coil motors are considered excellent servo drives. Depending on the configuration of the drive, feedback, controller, and control algorithm, these motors typically achieve a movement frequency of 500-1000Hz, even higher.
The swing-type voice coil motor utilizes the technology from the rectangular series products, bending them to form a certain angle for positioning, which meets the requirement for angular movement. The RS series can provide a swing angle of 90 degrees and a torque of up to 50 N-m. The swing-type voice coil motor products are applied in laser technology for mirror positioning, swing-type valve brakes, swing-type positioning, and flight controllers, etc. They are involved in the semiconductor industry, automation, and aerospace industries. Swing-type voice coil motors are also known as -- galvanometer motors.
The air-bearing platform for voice coil motors utilizes air-bearing guides for stable operation. This levitation is achieved by pressure air introduced into the bearing cavity, with extremely small pressure relief gaps, ensuring the suspension of the rotating shaft. It offers high speed, zero friction, no wear, no need for lubrication, excellent speed control, and noiseless operation. Due to the numerous advantages of air-bearing guides, they are increasingly being used in various applications to replace conventional mechanical bearings.
