Product Introduction

I. Overview

The KZH series of high-temperature and corrosion-resistant self-priming chemical centrifugal pumps is a single-stage, single-suction, self-priming chemical centrifugal pump developed and produced by our company, combining domestic and international similar products. This pump is suitable for transporting media with a temperature range of 0℃ to 150℃, free of solid particles, and with physical properties similar to water. For the transportation of media with a higher solid content, you may opt for our company's KHZ model sewage pump.

Pump performance range: Flow rate of 1.6 to 400 m³/h, head of 5 to 125 m. Suction height up to 5 meters.

The KHZ self-priming centrifugal chemical pump can be manufactured from materials such as cast steel, 304, 316L, 2205, 2507, 904L, 1.4529, titanium TA2, and Hastelloy for the contacting liquid parts, and can also be customized according to customer requirements.

Section 3: Structural Description of KHZ Chemical Self-Priming Pump

The KHZ self-priming chemical centrifugal pump is mainly composed of components such as the pump body, impeller, pump cover, shaft, bracket, mechanical seal, and shaft sleeve.

This pump excels in self-priming performance, truly achieving "one-time priming, lifelong self-priming."

The KHZ self-priming chemical centrifugal pump features a reinforced high-rigidity pump shaft and three bearings, offering advantages such as smooth operation and noiseless performance.

Pump Rotation Direction: Counter-clockwise from the suction end face.


IV. Pump Installation

1. The pump's installation must be reasonable, as it greatly affects the normal operation and lifespan of the pump. Therefore, it must be carefully calibrated before installation and should not be rushed. The external dimensions and installation sizes of the pump are detailed in the ZH model self-priming chemical centrifugal pump dimension diagram and table.

2. The suction and discharge pipelines of the pump must be supported by additional brackets; the pump itself should not be used as a support.

3. Installation should facilitate巡回检查 and maintenance.

4. Inlet and outlet pipelines must be equipped with valves for maintenance purposes.

5. The inlet pipeline of the pump must match the pump's inlet diameter, and the outlet pipeline diameter must be ≤ the pump's outlet diameter.

6. Assembly sequence:

a. Place the unit on a foundation with embedded foot bolts, level the unit using a level, and tighten the foot bolt nuts.

b. Pour concrete into the base and bolt holes, and after the concrete has cured, recheck the pump shaft's level.

c. Ensure proper connection of the import and export pipelines. Recheck the coaxial alignment of the couplings, ensuring the difference in the outer diameter of the couplings on top, bottom, left, and right does not exceed 0.1mm. The face clearance between the two couplings should not exceed 0.3mm during a full rotation.

d. Fill the pump with liquid through the liquid hole at the top of the pump.

e. Ensure the direction of the point motor aligns with the pump's specified direction.


Start, Stop, Dismantle, and Assembly

1. Start-up

a. Activate the cooling water, and turn the coupling by hand; there should be no rubbing or friction.

b. Check the lubricant in the bracket and the one-time filling in the pump cavity. (No need to refill upon subsequent startups.)

c. Start the motor and loosen the filling hole cover without tightening it to facilitate exhaust. Also, slightly open the valve on the discharge pipe. Adjust slowly after the pump starts discharging and then tighten the filling hole cover. It usually takes 2-10 minutes to start discharging.

d. Regularly inspect the pump bearing area and motor for temperature rise; the bearing temperature must not exceed 75°C.

e. Ensure the pump operates without noise. In case of any abnormal conditions, stop the pump immediately for inspection.

2. Parking

a. Gradually close the outlet pipeline valves and various instruments.

b. Cut off the power supply.

c. After the unit has come to a complete stop, turn off the cooling water.

3. Disassembly

When the pump exhibits abnormal conditions requiring maintenance, it should be disassembled in sequence.

Remove the oil drain bolt from the bracket and drain all the lubricating oil from the bracket.

b. Remove the nuts from the bracket and pump body, remove the pump body, unscrew the impeller nut by turning it to the left, and remove the impeller and key.

c. Remove the pump cover, shaft sleeve, and mechanical seal from the pump shaft.

d. Unscrew the stud on the sealed cover, remove the sealed cover, mechanical seal dynamic ring, and shaft sleeve. Unscrew the bolts connecting the sealing box to the pump cover, then remove the mechanical seal static ring.

e. Remove the bearing end caps at both ends of the bracket, take out the pump shaft and bearings, then remove the bearings from the pump shaft.

4. Assembly

Assembly sequence is the reverse of disassembly sequence.


Section 6: Attention for Mechanical Sealing Usage

This model pump can be installed with different types of mechanical seals based on varying operating conditions (such as internally mounted single face balanced and unbalanced types, double face balanced and unbalanced types, and externally mounted mechanical seals, etc.). The usage methods and precautions should vary depending on the selected seal type. For specific details, please refer to the mechanical seal installation and operation manual, as well as GB3215-82 "General Technical Conditions for Centrifugal Pumps Used in Refineries, Chemical Industry, and Petrochemical Processes." Below are some general points to note:

A. Due to the mechanical seal being suitable for use in mediums containing suspended particles during factory assembly, please add cooling water when in use.

B. Dismantling mechanical seals should be done carefully; do not use a hammer, iron, or other tools to strike them, as this may damage the sealing surfaces of the dynamic and static rings.

If dirt cannot be removed, attempt to clean it thoroughly before dismantling to prevent damaging the sealed components.

Before installing mechanical seals, check all sealing components for wear or damage. If any are found, they should be repaired or replaced.

E. Thoroughly inspect the relative friction sealing surfaces of the dynamic and static rings, ensuring no minor scratches or dings. All components, including the pump body, impeller, and sealing chamber, should be cleaned before assembly. Pay special attention to the dynamic and static ring ends, which should be wiped clean with a soft cloth or cotton yarn, then coated with a clean oil or grease.

F. Pay attention to eliminating deviations during assembly. When tightening screws, do so evenly to avoid misalignment and ensure the seal remains effective.

G. Properly adjust the compression of the spring. After the pump is installed, when turning the rotor by hand, you should feel that the sealing spring has a certain compression but can rotate smoothly and flexibly without resistance.
