One, Description of IH Chemical Centrifugal Pump

The IH type single-stage, single-suction, cantilevered centrifugal chemical pump is an energy-saving and upgraded product replacing the F type corrosion-resistant centrifugal pump. The temperature of the medium it transports is generally -20℃ to 105℃, and the shaft seal is equipped with mechanical, dynamic, and packing seals, which can be selected according to the actual operating conditions. A double-end face seal cooling unit can be used if necessary, capable of transporting media at temperatures below 300℃. It is suitable for industries such as chemicals, petroleum, metallurgy, power, papermaking, food, environmental protection, wastewater treatment, and synthetic fibers, for transporting various corrosive or non-polluting media similar to water.

Section 2: Pump Structural Description

2.1 The main components of the IH type chemical pump include the pump body, impeller, impeller nut, pump cover, sealing components, suspension components, etc.

The pump's structural features are as follows: The pump cover is fixed to the middle support by means of a stopper, and then clamped between the middle support and the pump body connection. The pump body is designed for axial intake, radial discharge, and is pedestal-supported, allowing direct mounting on the base. The suspension components are fixed to the middle support with a stopper and supported on the base. During maintenance, it is possible to inspect the pump body without removing the inlet and outlet pipe connections.

Axial seals are available in various types, such as packing and mechanical seals, and can be selected based on the properties of the conveying medium and the requirements of the production process.

2.2 The pump is connected to the motor via a coupling, and viewed from the driving end, the pump rotates in a clockwise direction.

2.3 Material: Select the appropriate material for the pump's flow part based on the liquid's corrosiveness. Main materials include SUS304, SUS316L, 904L, 2205, etc.

Structural Features: The IH series pumps are foot-supported, capable of withstanding direct external loads transmitted to the foundation. The bearing lubrication is by light oil lubrication, controlled by a constant-position oil cup, ensuring the bearings operate in optimal lubrication conditions and have a long service life. The impeller is a closed impeller, with the axial force balanced by back vanes or balancing holes, with any residual axial force balanced by the bearings. The shaft seal can be a dynamic seal, single-end mechanical seal, double-end mechanical seal, or series mechanical seal, depending on usage, and can be flushed and cooled with internal, self, or external flushing. The bearings include deep groove ball bearings, cylindrical roller bearings, and angular contact ball bearings, with light and heavy shafts to meet different load requirements. The IH series, with over 40 types of pumps, requires only six bearing brackets, offering high versatility and standardization, with a compact and reasonable structure and good appearance quality. The pump couplings are available in claw, pin, and diaphragm types for user selection. The diaphragm is removable, allowing for easy disassembly of the bearing bracket, shaft, seal housing, impeller assembly, etc., without dismantling the pipeline and motor during maintenance. The pump's inlet flange is horizontally suctioned, and the outlet flange is vertically upward. From the motor end, the pump shaft rotates clockwise.


Users should strictly pay attention when using.

Fill the bearing housing with lubricating oil, keeping the oil level at the middle horizontal surface of the oil window.

Before starting the vehicle, manually rotate the coupling to check for any jamming during installation. If there is any abnormal friction or contact, it should be eliminated.

Before starting, connect the cooling flushing fluid first. When parking, turn off the cooling flushing fluid after stopping the vehicle.

Four, the cooling flush liquid must be clean, non-scaling soft water; therefore, the newly installed piping and storage tanks should be flushed clean. This prevents solid particles from entering the mechanical seals, affecting their sealing performance and lifespan. Scale-prone water quality can block the cooling flush liquid pathways, similarly impacting the sealing's effectiveness and longevity.

Five, using condensed water as the sealing flushing liquid is ideal, with a temperature less than 85°C.

Six, the pressure of the cooling flushing liquid is 0.1~0.3 MPa, with a flow rate of 0.63 m³/h. Insufficient flow rate may affect the service life of the seal.
