II. Structural Principle
The LZ series metal tube float flowmeter consists of two parts:
Sensor — Measuring Tube and Buoy
Transmitter ---- Indicator
Sensor fluid-contact materials are available in four types: stainless steel, Hastelloy, titanium, and stainless steel lined with PTFE. Users can select different fluid-contact materials based on varying process pressures and the corrosiveness of the medium to meet the process's pressure resistance and medium corrosion prevention needs. Depending on different measurement requirements, users can choose different indicator combinations for different measurement needs. Specific indicator types and their corresponding functions are listed in the indicator type specification table.
Flow measurement is accomplished by a transmitter within the indicator, which senses the float position change through coupled magnetic steel to indicate flow and transmit signals remotely. When the medium to be measured flows from bottom to top through the measuring tube, the float is in equilibrium due to gravity, buoyancy, and the upward driving force from fluid velocity. The float remains relatively stationary at a certain position, which varies with the annular area between the float and the conical tube and the fluid velocity. The float's position corresponds to the size of the flow of the medium being measured.
