Scraper evaporator is a new type of evaporator with strong adaptability, suitable for materials with high viscosity, heat sensitivity, and easy crystallization and scaling. It is mainly composed of a heating jacket and a scraper. The jacket is filled with heating steam, and the scraper is mounted on a rotatable shaft. The scraper and the inner wall of the heating jacket maintain a small gap, usually 0.5-1.5 mm. After preheating, the feed liquid is added from the upper part of the evaporator along the tangential direction. Under the action of gravity and the rotating scraper plate, it is distributed on the inner wall to form a spiral film, which is continuously evaporated and concentrated during the descent process. The finished liquid is discharged from the bottom, and the secondary steam escapes from the top. In some cases, this evaporator can evaporate the solution and directly obtain solid products at the bottom.

Characteristics of using scraper evaporator:

2. The scraper evaporator has a short residence time of the processed material on the evaporation surface, about ± 10 seconds, without coking or scaling.

3. The scraper evaporator can achieve low-temperature evaporation under vacuum conditions.

4. The scraper evaporator is suitable for continuous production, with high operational flexibility, simple structure, easy maintenance, and can be self controlled.

5. The scraper evaporator changes the inclination angle of the groove on the outside of the scraper, which can adjust the time for materials to stay in the evaporator to meet the evaporation needs of materials with different viscosities.

6. All parts and equipment of the scraper evaporator that come into contact with the liquid material are made of stainless steel to prevent contamination of the liquid material.

7. The top of the scraper evaporator is equipped with a quick opening cover plate for easy brushing of the heating tube. There are light holes and mirrors on both sides of the top for easy observation during operation.

Scraper evaporators are widely used in industries such as petroleum and chemical, especially for high viscosity (such as tannin extract, honey, etc.) and materials that are prone to crystallization, scaling, and heat sensitivity.
