3PE anti-corrosion spiral steel pipes boast a comprehensive production technology internationally, and their service life has garnered attention. The three-layer polyethylene anti-corrosion coating (3PE), combining the properties of fused epoxy powder coating and extruded polyethylene, as well as the interface characteristics and chemical resistance of the fused epoxy powder coating, coupled with the mechanical protection features of the extruded polyethylene anti-corrosion coating, significantly enhances the performance of each.
3PE coated spiral steel pipes are suitable for high-rise building water supply, heating network, potable water projects, natural gas transmission, buried water transmission pipelines, oil transmission pipelines, chemical, dyeing and printing industries, and other process pipelines for transporting corrosive media. 3PE coated spiral steel pipes refer to anti-corrosion steel pipes coated with a three-layer polyolefin coating (MAPEC). The production process includes: the bare pipe is heated at medium frequency, then rust is checked and heated. They effectively prevent the corrosion of pipes by acids, alkalis, and salts in chemical fluid media. In the past, chemical pipelines were not resistant to corrosion, requiring replacement annually, with high maintenance costs in the later stage.
3PE coated spiral steel pipes are pipes (steel pipes) used in various work environments. One common method of anti-corrosion for these pipes involves applying a uniform and dense coating on the surface of the rust-removed anti-corrosion pipes, isolating them from various corrosive media. 3PE coated steel pipes are used in different work environments. To slow down or prevent the erosion and damage of the pipes due to chemical, electrochemical, or microbiological metabolic activities in external media, two or three layers of polyethylene (3PE) are applied to the outer wall of the pipes for anti-corrosion purposes.

3PE Corrosion-Resistant Steel Pipe Coating Structure:
Corrosion protection method for steel pipe exterior wall
3PE corrosion protection typically consists of a 3-layer structure:
One layer of epoxy powder (FBE > 100um)
Two-coat adhesive (AD) 170~250um
Three-layer Polyethylene (PE) 1.8~3.7mm
In actual operation, the three materials are mixed and integrated into one, processed to firmly bond with steel pipes, forming an excellent anti-corrosion coating. The processing methods typically include wrapping and round mold covering.
1. The 3PE anti-corrosion steel pipe coating, also known as three-layer polyethylene coating, is a novel anti-corrosion steel pipe coating that ingeniously combines the European 2PE anti-corrosion layer with the widely used North American epoxy powder coating (FBE) for steel pipes. It has been recognized and utilized globally for over a decade.
2. The 3PE anti-corrosion steel pipe coating consists of an epoxy powder anti-corrosion layer in contact with the steel pipe surface, a middle layer of a copolymer adhesive with branching structural groups, and a surface layer of high-density polyethylene anti-corrosion coating. This 3PE anti-corrosion coating combines the high impermeability and mechanical properties of both epoxy resin and polyethylene materials. To date, it is globally recognized as an effective and high-performance pipe anti-corrosion coating, widely used in various engineering projects.
