Reducers, also known as elbows, tees, or unequal tees, are one type of chemical pipeline fitting used for connecting pipes of different diameters. They are categorized into concentric reducers and eccentric reducers based on their shapes. The materials for reducers include stainless steel (304, 304L, 316, 316L), alloy steel, carbon steel, and options such as 20# steel, Q235, Q345, 16Mn, etc.
Standard elbow sizes in Chinese, American, British standards, as well as various non-standard products.
Elbows (Reduced Bends) are pipe fittings used to change the diameter of a pipeline. Common forming processes include reduced diameter extrusion, expanded diameter extrusion, or a combination of both. For certain sizes of elbows, stamping forming can also be employed. The reduced diameter/extrusion forming process involves placing a tube blank with a diameter equal to that of the elbow's larger end into a forming die, then through pressure along the tube blank's axial direction, the metal moves within the die cavity and forms by contraction. Depending on the size of the elbow's diameter change, it can be formed in one or multiple steps. Stamping Forming, In addition to producing elbows using steel pipes as raw material, stamping forming can be used to manufacture elbows of certain sizes with steel plates. The shape of the stamping die used for stretching is designed based on the internal surface dimensions of the elbow, and the steel plate after cutting is stretched into shape using the die.
