Reducer, also known as elbow, eccentric reducer, or unequal diameter pipe, is a type of chemical pipeline fitting used for connecting pipes of different diameters. It is available in two shapes: concentric and eccentric reducers. Materials for reducers include stainless steel (304, 304L, 316, 316L), alloy steel, carbon steel reducers, with options such as 20# steel, Q235, Q345, 16Mn, etc.
Standard elbow sizes in Chinese, American, British standards, and various non-standard products.
Elbows (Reduced Bends) are pipe fittings used for different pipe diameters. The commonly used forming processes include reduced diameter pressing, expanded diameter pressing, or a combination of both. For certain sizes of elbows, stamping forming can also be employed. The reduced/expanded diameter forming process involves placing a pipe blank with a diameter equal to the large end of the elbow into a forming die, where it is pressed along the axial direction of the blank, causing the metal to move within the die cavity and shrink into shape. Depending on the size of the diameter change in the elbow, it can be formed in a single press or multiple presses. Stamping forming, in addition to using steel pipes as raw materials for producing elbows, stamping forming processes can also be used to manufacture elbows of certain sizes. The shape of the stamping die used for stretching is designed based on the internal surface dimensions of the elbow, and the steel plate after cutting is stretched into shape using the die.
