1. Product Features
Excellent corrosion resistance and long service life
Fiberglass piping can withstand long-term erosion from various acids, alkalis, salts, organic solvents, and chemicals like seawater and wastewater. Different performance pipes can be selected based on the type of medium and the operating temperature.
Excellent mechanical properties
Fiberglass piping has a low density (1.8~2.1 g/cm³) and high strength (≥300 MPa), with its specific strength far exceeding that of steel and cast iron pipes. The addition of resin mortar in the middle layer of the pipe wall significantly enhances the stiffness, making it suitable for installation in various soil environments and underwater.
Excellent hydraulic properties
Fiberglass pipe has a very smooth inner surface with low friction resistance (n≤0.0084), significantly reducing pressure loss along the pipeline and increasing flow rate. In the case of the same flow rate, a smaller pipe diameter or a pump with lower power can be used, thereby reducing initial investment costs and energy consumption (operational costs).
Excellent design flexibility, wide applicability range
Glass fiber reinforced plastic (GFRP) pipes of various pressure ratings and special properties can be manufactured by altering the material selection, winding angle, and lay-up design to accommodate different working pressure, medium, stiffness (or burial depth) requirements.
Waterproof, non-toxic
The smooth interior prevents scaling and the growth of microorganisms like algae, ensuring no secondary water pollution. Pipes made of selected resins are suitable for conveying drinking water.
Few joints, good sealing.
Glass fiber reinforced plastic pipes are generally 12 meters long, connected with dual "O" type sealing rings, with each joint pressure tested for reliability.
Lightweight for easy transportation and installation
Fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) sand-laying pipes weigh only 1/4 of the same size and length ductile iron pipes and 1/10 of cement pipes. They are easy to transport and handle, with high installation efficiency and low costs.
