The V-shaped power tower is easily recognizable and commonly used in 500KV transmission lines, particularly in open fields. However, due to its large land occupation, it is not chosen for farmland or river areas.

These types of steel towers, resembling wine glasses, are highly distinctive. Generally, such towers are only used on transmission lines above 220KV. Moreover, they offer excellent lightning protection and cold weather resistance, making them a preferred choice in heavy thunderstorm and heavy ice areas.
