Acoustic measuring pipes, in addition to serving as detection channels and replacing a portion of the steel reinforcement cross-section, can also be used as pipes for grouting at the pile bottom. Tests have proven that piles treated with grout at the pile bottom can significantly enhance their bearing capacity. Furthermore, acoustic measuring pipes can also be used as conduits for cleaning and grouting treatments of accident piles, at which point measures must be taken to penetrate the pipeline at the defective areas requiring grouting.

Ultrasonic transmission method testing requires the following for the overall integrity of the sound transmission pipe: firm joints that do not come loose, and sealed connections that do not leak; smooth, undamaged pipe walls; straight, non-tilted pipe body; and a clear interior without any foreign objects.

When the material or installation process of the acoustic logging pipe is poor, it may lead to accidents such as leakage, pipe blockage, breakage, bending, sinking, and deformation, which greatly affects the ultrasonic pulse-echo method for pile foundation integrity testing, and may even render the ultrasonic pulse-echo method inapplicable.
