Sewage pump stations commonly use centrifugal sewage pumps. Rainwater pump stations often employ axial flow pumps. For combined pump stations, the pump selection should consider the significant changes in flow during rain and sunshine, and a combination of different types and flows of pump sets should be used for operation, but the variety of pump sets should be limited. When the ground is spacious, spiral pumps can also be used. Spiral pumps are more efficient, consume less energy, are less prone to clogging, and are easy to maintain, making them suitable for situations with large discharge volumes and low lift heights. Small flow pump houses generally use automatic operation, while large flow pump houses may use automatic or semi-automatic operation with manual assistance.
