








Luminaire poles are large-scale lighting structures over 20 meters tall, constructed from steel, aluminum alloy, and other metals, equipped with appropriate lighting fixtures, sodium lamps, and various electrical appliances.
Routine maintenance of streetlight poles
During the winding and unwinding process of the wire rope, it is essential to inspect the appearance of the wire rope, ensure there is no overlap, check for twists, rust, broken strands, and signs of severe stress. Also, verify that the sliding parts are smooth and reliable.
(2) Replace damaged light fixtures, cables, and check all fastening bolts for looseness, ensuring safety and reliability. Verify that locating pins and automatic hooks are flexible and dependable; those with severe rust must be replaced.
(3) The motor, gear box, and transmission mechanism mounted at the bottom of the lamp post should have a closed cover to prevent insulation damage to the coils due to moisture. Check if the gear box oil is sufficient and if the engine oil has turned black or contains impurities. Move the motor drive mechanism to a dry place, and perform an insulation resistance test (not less than 1MS2) before use.
(4) The AC contactor, thermal relay, limit switch, and control device of the command controller in the control circuit of the high mast light should be carefully inspected before operation. Any electrical components found to be problematic during the inspection should be replaced promptly, and operation with defects is strictly prohibited.
(5) Grounding protection devices for tall lighting facilities must have the lightning protection device checked annually during the rainy season, with the grounding resistance tested. The grounding resistance value should not be less than 1092 ohms.
(6) All maintenance contents listed above must be documented in a ledger.
After completing the maintenance of the road lighting, the electrical components and lifting transmission mechanism of the tall lighting facilities should be rechecked. Only after confirming they are correct can you raise the light disk to directly hang and unload it, then you can leave the site.
