One, Walling Stone - Requirements for Walling Stone Construction
(1) Masonry materials for retaining wall construction, including cement, sand, and water, must comply with construction specifications. The mortar should match the design grade specified in the construction details, and must be mixed thoroughly. The mixed batch should be used up before the mortar sets.
(2) The masonry body must be constructed using slurry masonry. During construction,砂浆 should be applied first before laying the stones. The stones should be layered and pressed with alternating joints, ensuring stability with interlocking. The height difference between adjacent construction sections should not exceed 1.2mm, and each layer should be roughly leveled. The division points should be as close as possible to settlement or expansion joints.
(3) Before laying mortar, the stone should be moistened with water to ensure its surface is fully saturated, but no standing water should remain. The thickness of the joints should generally be 20-35mm, and larger gaps should be filled with gravel.
(4) All stones must be placed on freshly mixed mortar, ensuring it is thoroughly packed. Stones should not be directly butted against each other, and the method of using stones standing on the outside and filling the center is not permitted.
(5) Mortar should be applied to ensure fullness, with natural, even, and aesthetically pleasing joints, and the block stone should have a regular shape and a smooth surface. Any mortar splatters on the masonry surface should be cleaned thoroughly.
(6) Structural dimensions and locations of the masonry must comply with the construction details. Surface deviations within a 2m range must not exceed 30mm. Masonry joint widths: flat joints 15mm, vertical joints 20mm.
