Waterstop steel plate (waterstop steel) refers to embedding a 300mm x 3m steel plate during the pouring of the lower concrete layer, with 10-15cm of the upper part exposed. During the next concrete pour, this section of the steel plate is also poured in, preventing external pressure water from seeping in. Therefore, the waterstop steel plate requires good welding joints, ensuring no leakage points to maintain its waterproofing performance.
1. Strive to position the waterstop steel plate on the centerline of the wall.
2. The welding between the two steel plates must be full and double-sided, with the overlap of the steel plates being no less than 20mm.
3. Wall corner treatment: 1. Full steel plate bending; 2. T-shaped welding; 3. 7-shaped welding.
4. The support welding of waterstop steel plates can be done by spot welding small rebars onto the main reinforcement.
5. When the water-stop steel plate passes through the column hoop reinforcement, the hoop reinforcement can be cut and made into an open hoop, which is then welded onto the steel plate.
6. The "opening" of the waterstop steel plate faces the upstream water surface.
