Waterstop steel plate (waterstop steel) refers to embedding a 300mm x 3m steel plate during the pouring of the lower concrete layer, with 10-15cm of the upper part exposed. When pouring concrete again, this section of the steel plate is also poured in to prevent external pressure water from seeping in. Therefore, the waterstop steel plate requires good welding joints without any leakage points to ensure the waterproofing performance.
1. Efforts should be made to align the water-stop steel plate with the centerline of the wall.
2. The welding between the two steel plates must be full and double-sided, with the overlap not less than 20mm.
3. Wall corner treatment: 1. Full steel plate bending; 2. T-shaped welding; 3. 7-shaped welding.
4. Support welding for waterstop steel plates can be done by spot welding small steel bars onto the main steel bars.
5. When the waterstop steel plate passes through the column hoop reinforcement, the hoop reinforcement can be cut to create an open hoop, which is then welded to the steel plate.
6. The "opening" of the waterstop steel plate faces the upstream side.
