Waterstop steel plate (waterstop steel) refers to embedding a 300mm x 3m steel plate during the pouring of the lower concrete layer, with 10-15cm of the upper part exposed. During the next concrete pour, this exposed steel plate section is also poured in, serving to prevent external water pressure from seeping in. Therefore, the waterstop steel plate requires good welding joints, with no leakage points to affect its waterproofing performance.
1. Make every effort to align the water stop steel plate with the centerline of the wall.
2. The welding between the two steel plates should be full and double-sided, with a overlap of not less than 20mm.
3. Wall corner treatment: 1. Whole sheet metal bending; 2. T-shaped welding; 3. 7-shaped welding.
4. Support welding for waterstop steel plates can be done by spot welding small reinforcing bars onto the main steel bars.
5. When the waterstop steel plate passes through the column stirrups, the stirrups can be cut to form an open stirrup and then welded onto the steel plate.
6. The "opening" of the waterstop steel plate faces the upstream side.
