Waterstop steel plate, also known as steel waterstop belt or waterproof steel plate, is generally made by straightening and bending coiled steel strip. After the foundation is laid, waterproof steel plates or waterstop belts are required for waterproofing treatment between construction joints. Typically, a single waterproof steel plate is 3 meters long and is used in construction joints and expansion joints on the construction site, welded into the construction joints to provide waterproofing.
In the base or basement, the concrete for the floor and exterior wall panels, as well as the ceiling, is cast separately. When pouring the wall panel concrete again, there is a construction cold joint. If the position of this joint is below the groundwater level, it is prone to leakage. In this case, technical treatment of the joint is required, and there are many methods available. One common approach is to install a waterstop steel plate.
