Project background: Rugao is a nationally renowned "hometown of flowers and trees". Rugao bonsai art is known as the "pearl of Eastern art". So far, Rugao bonsai has won over 200 awards in various competitions and exhibitions both domestically and internationally. The Jiangsu Bonsai Museum covers an area of 14200 square meters and has a building (exhibition hall) area of 17700 square meters. It gathers five major schools of bonsai from across the country, as well as boutique bonsai from Rugao. In recent years, actively responding to the situation and requirements of the transformation and upgrading of the flower and bonsai industry, the idea of building a "Jiangsu Bonsai Museum" has been proposed, aiming to use green as a medium to explore and protect bonsai art, promote agricultural culture, advocate green and ecological concepts in the whole society, and build a bonsai exhibition and sales center.
