Oxygen terminal is a type of equipment that can connect or unload pipelines without the use of any tools. It is mainly installed on medical gas distribution equipment in operating rooms, wards, emergency rooms, and other places in hospitals, such as treatment equipment belts in wards. It is one of the key components in the oxygen supply system of medical centers.
Common fault phenomena and solutions
Based on maintenance experience, there are three common fault phenomena:
After connecting the oxygen terminal to the oxygen flow meter, there is no oxygen output, and the floating steel ball in the flow meter does not move.
Solution: This type of malfunction usually occurs when the oxygen terminal accumulates dust after prolonged use, resulting in terminal blockage and inability to output oxygen. Use a screwdriver or other tools to press and blow the terminal spring several times to remove any dust inside. Reconnect the oxygen flow meter and restore it to normal.
2. After connecting the oxygen terminal to the flowmeter, there is a leak.
Solution: This type of malfunction is usually caused by a damaged sealing ring inside the oxygen terminal. Replace the sealing ring to restore normal operation.
3. The oxygen flow meter cannot be properly connected to the oxygen terminal, and it cannot be stuck or accessed when connected.
Solution: This type of malfunction is usually caused by frequent plugging and unplugging over a long period of time, resulting in damage to the spring inside the yellow metal block of the oxygen terminal. Replace the yellow metal block to restore normal operation.
