The function of road and bridge guardrails:

1. When a vehicle collides with a river guardrail, it should be able to ensure the safety of passengers inside the vehicle and prevent serious injuries.

2. The various forms of river guardrails of each grade should be selected for actual vehicle collision tests based on the application section and the corresponding total vehicle mass of the evaluation grade, including small passenger cars and large vehicles.

3. River guardrails should have good guiding performance, and the exit angle of vehicles after collision should be less than 60% of the collision angle.
