Variable Frequency Water Supply Equipment and Pipeline Installation

1.1 Prior to installation, all equipment components, accessories, piping materials, and piping accessories required for the installation of the variable frequency speed regulating water supply equipment and the pump house piping system should be verified and inspected. The equipment models, performance parameters, types, and quantities meet the design requirements, the visual inspection is approved, the products are qualified, and the quality certificates are complete. The equipment foundation has been poured, and the bearing strength meets the requirements.


Installation of variable frequency speed regulating water supply equipment and its system piping, electrical circuits, and electrical equipment should comply with the relevant provisions of the current international standard "Code for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Equipment Installation Engineering" GB 50242-2002 and "Code for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Building Electrical Engineering" GB 50303-2015.


Prior to pipeline installation, internal dirt and impurities in the pipeline materials and accessories should be removed; when the pipeline installation is temporarily interrupted, the open ends should be temporarily sealed.


Pump room piping should be equipped with supports, brackets, hangers, and seismic support hangers. The placement, spacing, type, material, and specifications of fixed supports, movable supports, and seismic support hangers should comply with design requirements. In the absence of specific design requirements, they should adhere to the current national standards.


The anti-corrosion of metal and metal composite pipes, pipeline supports and hangers, and seismic supports and hangers in the pump room should meet the design requirements. In the absence of specific requirements in the design, they should comply with the provisions of the current national standard "Code for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Building Water Supply, Drainage, and Heating Engineering" GB 50242-2002, etc.


2 Pressure Test


2.1 After the installation of variable-frequency speed regulation water supply equipment is completed, a water pressure test should be conducted. When the system's designed working pressure is less than or equal to 1.0 MPa, the test pressure should be 1.5 times the designed working pressure, but not less than 0.6 MPa; when the system's designed working pressure is greater than 1.0 MPa, the test pressure should be the designed working pressure plus 0.4 MPa. The water pressure test must comply with the current international standard for the construction quality acceptance specification of building water supply, drainage, and heating engineering, GB 50242-2002, and pressure testing with air pressure should not be substituted for submersion pressure testing.


2.2 The equipment and pipeline pressure testing of the water supply pump room can be conducted separately or combined with the water supply pipeline system of the project for simultaneous testing.


2.3 The water storage tank should undergo a full water test.


3 Debugging


3.1 After the variable frequency speed regulation water supply equipment is installed, it should be powered on and water adjusted according to the design requirements.


Prior to tuning, the valves on the equipment and pump house piping should be set to their respective open/closed positions, and the electrical control devices should be powered up sequentially. The working voltage of the power supply must meet the requirements.


3.3 The equipment pump unit should undergo both single-step and continuous operation tests. When the pump outlet pressure reaches the set value, manual disturbance tests should be conducted on the automatic control aspects of the system's flow rate, pressure, and water tank level, and they should meet the requirements.


3.4 The system debugging simulation operation time should not be less than 30 minutes.


The disinfection units in the 3.5 pump house storage tank and pipeline system were individually adjusted according to the product manual's instructions.


4 System Flush & Disinfection


4.1 The flushing and disinfection of the variable-frequency booster secondary water supply system should be carried out after the equipment in the pump room has been debugged, and should use tap water for flushing; in addition, it is not allowed to use the in-house variable-frequency speed regulation water supply equipment for system flushing.


4.2 The flow rate of the flushing water should not be less than 1.5/s, and every part of the system must be flushed, leaving no dead corners. The flushing water quality at the outlet, as visually observed, should be the same as the incoming water quality to be deemed合格.


Prior to cleaning, components within the system that cannot be or hinder the cleaning process should be pressurized for protection or removed, and temporarily replaced with short pipes. Once the cleaning is approved, they should be repositioned.


Upon completion of the potable water system flush, the system pipeline should be disinfected using a disinfectant. Chlorine disinfectants containing 20mg/L to 30mg/L of free chlorine, potassium permanganate, or other appropriate disinfectants may be used.


5 Project Acceptance


Upon completion of the variable-frequency speed regulation water supply equipment installation and passing the speed regulation test, the project should undergo a final acceptance inspection. The water supply and drainage sections should comply with the relevant provisions of the current national standard "Code for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Building Water Supply, Drainage and Heating Engineering" GB 50242-2002. The electrical section should meet the requirements of the current national standards "Code for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Electrical Installation Engineering - Test Standard for Electrical Equipment Handover" GB 50150-2006 and "Code for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Building Electrical Engineering" GB 50303-2015.


5.2 The engineering acceptance of variable-frequency speed regulating water supply equipment, pump room piping, and power supply systems should inspect the following items:


Are the model, specifications, and relevant technical parameters of the water supply equipment in compliance with the design requirements?


2) Is the installation location of the pump room equipment and the pipeline layout and installation in accordance with the design requirements?


3) Sanitation License for Aquatic Products.


4) Power supply to the pump room is reliable.


5) Are the water supply equipment pump sets operating normally, and are the parameters such as flow rate and head of the equipment meeting the design requirements?


6) Do the equipment grounding and lightning protection measures meet the design requirements?


The pump house's drainage and ventilation systems are in perfect condition.


The operation of disinfection equipment in the storage tank and pipeline system is reliable.


9) The specifications, materials, and connection methods of our system piping, fittings, and pipeline accessories meet the design requirements.
