Fiberglass pipingInstallation Principles
Glass fiber reinforced plastic pipe installation follows the sequence of dividing the area and system, starting with large diameters before small ones, lower levels before upper ones, difficult tasks before easy ones, and first the pipeline before connecting the equipment. Pipes connected to the machinery are generally fitted from the inside out to minimize the impact of welding stress on installation accuracy. The junction of indoor and outdoor pipelines should be left outdoors.
Glass Fiber Reinforced PipeInstallation Requirements
1. Prior to installation, glass fiber reinforced plastic pipeline should be reviewed for equipment pipe ends, embedded parts, reserved holes, steel structures, and other contents related to pipeline installation.
2. The gradient of the glass fiber reinforced plastic pipeline should be adjusted according to the drawings. The adjustment method can utilize supports to meet the gradient requirements, and welds should be positioned for easy maintenance and observation.
3. The glass fiber reinforced plastic pipe connected to the transmission equipment should be cleaned internally prior to installation. The welding and fixing of the pipe ends should generally be positioned away from the equipment to avoid stress from welding affecting the installation accuracy of the transmission equipment.
Before connecting glass fiber reinforced plastic pipes to machinery, prevent strong relative forces and check the parallelism and coaxiality of the flange in a free state.
5. The safety valve should be installed vertically, and it should be timely adjusted during the trial operation. The final adjustment of the safety valve is made on the system, with the opening and closing pressures in compliance with the specifications of the design documents.
6. Prior to valve installation, verify the model against the design documents and determine the installation direction based on the medium flow direction. When connecting the valve to the glass fiber reinforced pipeline with a flange or threaded connection, the valve should be installed in the closed position; however, if installed by welding, the valve must not be closed.
7. Temporary Replacement of Instrument Components: All instrument components are temporarily replaced during installation. The actual installation will take place after the pressure testing, flushing, and blow-off procedures are completed, and before the material is introduced.
