In a 10kV distribution network, the integration of primary and secondary ring main units is a common method for intelligent terminal substation equipment. The true meaning of the ring main cage is a switchgear used for ring main connections. It can be a circuit breaker cabinet, a load switch cabinet, or a switchgear composed of high-voltage load switches and circuit breakers. The ring main cage refers to a small SF6 load switchgear with many advantages:

1. Cost-Effective Investment Projects. Even with the addition of a high-voltage fuse to an SF6 switchgear, the project budget remains at just $10,000. Compared to the project budget of 30,000 for breaker cabinets in the trend of development, the imported power main switch could reach up to $100,000, resulting in significant cost savings.

2. Practical Maintenance. Due to the fast blow fuses that can disconnect short circuit capacity within 10ms, preventing transformer damage, a high-voltage load switch with a main fuse is employed, which is expected to provide better maintenance effects for transformers than the circuit breaker's main power switch. The disconnection of the circuit breaker's main power switch should include the relay maintenance time. There is an intake time, arc burn time, and a total of three cycles, which may amount to 60ms. It can even integrate primary and secondary ring network boxes into one, forming a ring network switch station. In case of common issues, the switch power circuit can be quickly disconnected.

4. Easy and Quick Installation for Expansion - The first and second-level integrated ring network boxes are easy and quick to install. No trench excavation is required if the switch cabinets are mounted on round steel. When adding solid wood cabinets, they must be installed side by side with the original switch cabinets and connected to the horizontal busbar slot.

5. Enhanced Power Supply and Distribution System Repair. Each substation within the primary and secondary integrated ring network box is equipped with an intelligent system module. Staff can monitor the operation of the ring network without leaving the premises and identify common issues. Common safety protection issues.
