Lead-acid batteries, often referred to as "water batteries" due to their high liquid content, are easily depleted and require frequent refilling, hence also known as maintainable batteries. These batteries are commonly used in electric sightseeing cars, motorcycles, and also in regular electric vehicles.
Battery packs are prone to low temperatures, as their capacity is significantly lower in cold environments compared to normal temperatures. Batteries that function normally in warm areas may suddenly run out of power when taken to cold places. Therefore, before the cold season arrives, it is essential to check the electrolyte level in regular batteries. If necessary, supplement the electrolyte, adjust the electrolyte concentration, and check the battery's charge status. It should be recharged regularly and never be fully drained before charging. This ensures reliable starting and extends the battery's lifespan.
Avoid overloading the electrical system; prolonged use of high-consumption equipment without starting the vehicle can lead to battery drainage. Regularly monitor water evaporation, as it's typically higher during summer, which can cause battery dehydration and expose the base plate, leading to failure. In winter, replenish with battery water, but during summer, distilled water suffices. Check and replenish every two to three months, especially during summer. If the base plate becomes exposed due to dehydration, it usually cannot last more than half a year, especially in winter when battery performance declines, rendering the battery unusable even after charging, only for a few weeks. For detailed information and specifics, please contact the customer service personnel at Nanchang Zhuote Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd.
