On the 16th, the Intellectual Property Protection Symposium of the Chongqing Home Furnishing Industry was held at the Juxinmei Furniture Century City. The symposium marked the launch of the "Chongqing Home Furniture and Building Materials Industry Intellectual Property Protection Alliance." Additionally, over 40 home furniture and building materials enterprises in Chongqing jointly signed the "Self-discipline Convention for Intellectual Property Protection in the Chongqing Home Furniture and Building Materials Industry."
According to information, the home furnishings industry is one of the key industries in the country, accounting for a significant portion of the national economy. However, along with its rapid development, the lack of standardized competition among enterprises and the deficiency in intellectual property protection are制约ing the further expansion and strength of home furnishings companies. They are also hindering the transformation from "manufacturing-oriented" to "creative-oriented" enterprises, as well as the healthy and sustainable development of the industry. After more than a decade of rapid规模化 expansion, the Chongqing home furnishings and building materials industry has now entered a critical period of transformation and upgrading, facing numerous intellectual property challenges.
Journalists on the scene learned that at the symposium, guests delivered excellent speeches on topics such as the current situation and countermeasures of intellectual property infringement in the home furnishings industry, government guidance on the protection of intellectual property in the home furnishings sector, and the role of associations and intellectual property service organizations in protecting intellectual property in the home furnishings industry. Additionally, the launch ceremony for the "Chongqing Home Building Materials Industry Association Intellectual Property Protection Alliance" was also held.
Additionally, over 40 home and building materials companies in our city have jointly signed the "Chongqing Home and Building Materials Industry Intellectual Property Protection Self-discipline Convention." The aim is to strengthen the intellectual property protection of member units within the alliance, to build and nurture brands, enhance the original design level and core competitiveness of Chongqing's home and building materials, and promote the healthy and orderly development of the industry and positive market competition.
Chongqing Intellectual Property Bureau Director Yuan Jie emphasized during a symposium that efforts should be made to enhance collaboration among administrative departments, associations, and enterprises. He called for exploring new models of intellectual property protection in the trade and commerce sector. He suggested learning from the "China Dongguan (Furniture) Intellectual Property Rapid Rights Protection and Assistance Center" and the "12330 Intellectual Property Protection Service Workstation for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Home Furnishing Industry." He highlighted the role of "Association Alliances" in coordinating and supervising, assisting government departments in training, guidance, establishing self-discipline mechanisms, and supervision in the intellectual property protection of the industry. He stated, "Intellectual property service agencies should timely intervene in the intellectual property protection and rights protection of the home furnishing industry, providing services related to intellectual property operation and business models."
