Iron gates are typically used as movable structures to open and close water passages in hydraulic constructions. They can regulate flow, control water levels, and facilitate the movement of vessels.


Secondary Uses: Steel gates are primarily used in water supply and drainage, flood prevention, irrigation, water conservancy, and hydropower projects for stopping, dredging water flow, or regulating water levels. They are designed and manufactured according to the General Specifications of the Establishment Department and the American Water Works Association (AWWA) standards. Featuring a common outer arc design, they are structurally sound with even distribution of forces. They are made of gray cast iron or ductile iron, stainless steel, with water stop sealing surfaces lined with copper strips or rubber. After fine processing and fitting, they achieve a three-dimensional contact seal, ensuring good sealing performance. When the sealing function decreases, it can be adjusted and treated through the installation of wedges.


The structural features include: 1. The steel gate is composed of components such as the frame, gate plate, guide rail, sealing strip, transmission screw, lifting block nut/hook, and adjustable sealing mechanism. Both the frame and gate plate are made of gray cast iron or ductile iron. The guide rails are symmetrically arranged on both sides and are fastened to the frame ends with stainless steel bolts and dowels (for medium and small diameter gates, the guide rail can be integrated with the frame during casting). The length of the guide rail is typically 1/2 to 1/3 of the full gate opening height, resulting in a high structural strength, rigidity, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and load-bearing capacity. 2. The sealing is achieved through wedge block installation and is well-sealed after precise machining. 3. It is equipped with pre-buried steel plate or bolted installation, making it convenient for installation, adjustment, operation, and maintenance with a long service life. 4. A complete range of types and specifications, with wide applicability. 5. When used with an opening and closing machine, the gate is the working part, while the machine is the executing part for opening and closing the gate. The machine is driven by manual, electric, pneumatic, or hydraulic mechanisms, which move the gears, worm gears, and other transmission components, driving the rotation of the transmission nut or screw to make the gate shaft rise and fall vertically, thus opening or closing the gate to achieve the purpose of water release, closure, or water level adjustment.


Secondary Technical Function Parameters: 1. Model and Specifications: Gate: Sliding Stem Type PGZ\PZ DN200~DN2500mm 2. Secondary Function Goals for Cast Iron Gate: a) Gate sealing surface fit gap ≤0.1mm, sealing seat thickness greater than 10mm. b) Water leakage rate per meter of sealing surface: Forward ≤0.7L/min ·m, Reverse ≤1.25L/min ·m. c) Nominal pressure ≤0.1Mpa; sealing test pressure 0.1Mpa. d) Mission Environment: Temperature -20℃~120℃, humidity: 95%. Mission medium: Water and wastewater, pH value: 5~10. e) Device Position: Normal orientation facing water in the forward direction, in a vertical position. f) Mission Water Head: Single-direction pressure: Forward: 10m, Reverse: 5m. Bi-directional pressure: Both 10m. g) Opening and Closing Speed: Not less than 0.2m/min, not more than 1.5m/min. h) Gate frame to side wall clearance ≥300mm, to pool bottom clearance ≥150mm~250mm.
