Smoke barrier curtain fire-resistant fabric
Fire-resistant smoke barrier curtains are fixed smoke-dividing installations that hang from the ceiling at least 500 mm below. During a fire, they effectively create smoke separation, blocking the horizontal flow of smoke beneath the building's ceiling. This allows exhaust fans to expel hot smoke outdoors, enhancing the exhaust effect within the smoke control zone and providing a safe environment and additional time for rescue and evacuation.
Fire-resistant smoke curtain walls are smoke curtains primarily made of fire-retardant fabrics. These curtains have a simple design, are easy to manufacture and install, and thus are relatively inexpensive. While they may not appear as sophisticated as glass smoke curtains or retractable smoke curtains, their fire and smoke prevention capabilities are equally effective. Due to their less aesthetic appearance, they are commonly used in factories, underground parking garages, and large retail spaces without ceilings. The main components of fixed fire-resistant smoke curtain walls are fire-resistant fabric and clamping strips; the fabric thickness ranges from 0.5mm to 0.9mm; available colors include gray and white; widths are from 50 to 200 cm (customizable); the clamping strips are 3.5 cm wide and available in lengths of 1 to 6 meters.
Since smoke barrier curtains are part of fire protection equipment, they effectively block smoke during fires, thus their sealing should comply with relevant regulations and cannot have any gaps. As a result, while the smoke barrier curtains may not look very attractive, their performance is still top-notch. Therefore, users can confidently install and use this type of curtain.
