Basalt geogrid is a geomembrane material made primarily from alkali-resistant, acid-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and high-temperature-resistant basalt fibers, formed through a warp-knitted process to create a stable grid structure. It is then coated with a special layer to further encapsulate the basalt fibers, enhancing its stable structure and chemical corrosion resistance. Basalt fibers boast high tensile strength, resistance to high temperatures (260-650℃), compatibility with asphalt concrete in terms of thermal expansion coefficient, UV resistance, good chemical stability, and resistance to aging. As such, they are used as reinforcing substrates for asphalt or concrete pavements, effectively preventing the occurrence of road distress such as cracks and rutting, and addressing the issues of asphalt pavement's tendency to crack and deform.
