After the metallic waste from scrap iron is fed into a magnetic separator, the magnetic particles are magnetized under the effect of an uneven magnetic field, then attracted by the magnetic field's force, drawn into the cylinder, and discharged at the discharge end as the cylinder moves; non-magnetic particles, due to the small magnetic field effect force they experience, remain in the waste. The magnetic field source used in magnetic separation is typically an electromagnet or a permanent magnet.
2. Waste iron recycling and cleaning involves the use of various chemical solvents or hot surfactants to remove oil, rust, mud, and sand from the surface of steel components. Commonly used for treating engines, bearings, gears, and other parts contaminated with cutting oil, grease, dirt, or other adherent substances.
3. Scrap iron recycling often contains oils and greases, which can be contaminants. Oils and greases that cannot be immediately vaporized can pollute molten metal. When outdoor-stored scrap metal gets wet, the moisture mixed with oils and greases can also contaminate the molten metal.
