Additionally, special operational functions may affect the specific configuration of the forklift, such as when transporting items like paper rolls or molten iron, which require attachments to perform the specialized functions.
(2) Assignment Requirements
The forklift operation requirements include general specifications such as pallet or cargo dimensions, lift height, operational aisle width, and incline grade, while also considering operational efficiency (which varies by vehicle type) and operational habits (such as preference for seated or standing operation).
(3) Work Environment
If the goods to be transported by the company or the warehouse environment have requirements for environmental aspects such as noise or exhaust emissions, these factors should be considered when selecting the vehicle type and configuration. If the operation is in a cold storage facility or in an environment with explosion-proof requirements, the forklift configuration should be of the cold storage or explosion-proof type.
