Tianjin Youfa Steel Pipe Group Co., Ltd. (Abbreviated as: Tianjin Youfa Group) was established in 2000 and is a result of the asset restructuring of nine subsidiaries of the former Tianjin Youfa Steel Pipe Group Co., Ltd. It is an integrated steel pipe manufacturing group that produces a variety of products including straight seam welded steel pipes, hot-dipped galvanized steel pipes, plastic-coated steel pipes, coated steel pipes, square and rectangular steel pipes, hot-dipped galvanized square and rectangular steel pipes, spiral steel pipes, and high-speed guardrails, among others. The company owns two brands: "Youfa" and "Zhengjin Yuan." It currently has three production bases in Tianjin, Tangshan, and Handan, with a total of 8 steel pipe production companies and 152 production lines, employing nearly 10,000 staff. It also has two laboratories and one industry-academia-research and development institution, the "Tianjin Welded Steel Pipe Technology Engineering Center." The products from the three bases have been exported to 66 countries and regions, including North America, South America, the EU, Africa, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Oceania, and Hong Kong. In 2016, the production of various steel pipes exceeded 12 million tons, and if the pipes produced by Youfa each week were connected end-to-end, they would encircle the Earth. Youfa Pipe is widely used in water conservancy projects, fire protection projects, gas projects, industrial and civil construction projects, and has been successfully applied in numerous national key projects such as the Three Gorges Project, Pudong International Airport, Capital International Airport, Beijing Olympic venues, Shanghai World Expo pavilions, Jiaozhou Bay Bridge, Tianjin's 117 Tower, Beijing-Zhangjiakou Winter Olympics venues, Beijing's China Zun, Tiananmen Square Review Stand, and Shanghai Disneyland. Under the委托 of the National Steel Standard Committee, Youfa has led or participated in drafting 12 national and industry standards, including the following national standards that have been promulgated: GB/T 3091 "Welded Steel Pipes for Low-Pressure Fluid Conveyance," GB/T 13793-2016 "Seamless Welded Steel Pipes," GB/T 28897-2012 "Steel-Plastic Composite Pipes," GB/T 31439.1-2015 "W-beam Steel Guardrail Part 1: Two-Wave W-beam Steel Guardrail," and GB/T 31439.2-2015 "W-beam Steel Guardrail Part 2: Three-Wave W-beam Steel Guardrail." The national standards currently under review include: GB/T 6725 "General Technical Requirements for Cold-Formed Steel Sections" (under review) and GB/T 6728 "Cold-Formed Hollow Sections for Structural Use" (under review). The industry standards that have been promulgated are: CJ/T 120-2016 "Plastic-Lined Steel Pipes for Water Supply" and CECS 205-2015 "Technical Code for Engineering of Lined (Coated) Stainless Steel Composite Pipe." The national standards currently under review are: CJ/T 192 "Lined Stainless Steel Composite Pipes" (under review) and CJJ/T 154 "Technical Code for Engineering of Metal Pipes for Building Water Supply" (under review). The industry standard currently being formulated is YB/T "Special Welded Steel Pipes." Since June 1, 2016, the GB/T 3091-2015 "Welded Steel Pipes for Low-Pressure Fluid Conveyance" national standard has been officially implemented, and Youfa has implemented it, ensuring that all Youfa products comply with the new national standard. Innovation is the driving force behind corporate development. Through years of practice, Youfa has independently innovated several industry-first technologies, including "Automatic Packaging Machines," "Multi-Pull Rods," and "Heat Pipe Waste Heat Recovery Evaporators." The "Heat Pipe Waste Heat Recovery Evaporator Project" officially became a "Tianjin Municipal Key Science and Technology Special Project and Engineering Demonstration Project" in 2015. As of the end of 2016, the entire group held 51 patent technologies, including 4 invention patents, with an additional 38 patent technologies currently under application and consideration.
