Silicone TubingHow do we color them? There are mainly two methods for silicone tube coloring: surface coloring and material blending coloring.
Surface coloring method involves spraying coloring agents onto the surface of silicone tubes, thereby coloring silicone products. This method is effective for static products, but for dynamic products, the coloring agents tend to peel off and fade easily.
Color blending is the primary method for silicone tube coloring, which is divided into two types: solution method and blending method. Among the blending methods, there are several techniques such as dry powder coloring, pigment paste coloring, granular material coloring, and color masterbatch rubber coloring.

Solution Dyeing
The law is as follows:SiliconeThis coloring method involves dissolving a good solvent into a solution of a certain concentration, then adding the dye and rubber auxiliaries (excluding sulfur) to the solution and mixing them thoroughly. The solvent is then dried off at a specific temperature, and sulfur is added to the rubber in a mill. This coloring process is complex, with uneven dispersion of dyes and auxiliaries, color variations, difficulty in solvent recovery, and environmental pollution, leading to its decreased usage.
2. Compounding Method Coloring
This method is commonly used for coloring silicone tubes and silicone products. It involves directly adding the coloring agent or mixing it with a carrier first before incorporating it into the rubber compound, then blending it uniformly through a rubber mixer to achieve the silicone coloring.
