What Factors Affect the Performance of Silicone Products?

Products primarily made from silicone are referred to as silicone-processed goods.Silicone ProductsSilica gel is a porous material with varying particle sizes, formed by the appropriate dehydration of silica gel. 1. Viscosity, a scientific term: the volume characteristic of a liquid, pseudo-liquid, or pseudo-solid material's resistance to flow, which is the internal friction or flow resistance between molecules when the silicone key flows under the action of external force. Typically, viscosity is proportional to hardness.
2. Hardness refers to a material's resistance to indentation by a hard object on its surface. Silicone rubber boasts a hardness range of 10 to 80 Shore A durometer, which provides designers with ample freedom to select the desired level of hardness to effectively achieve specific functions. By blending polymer substrates, fillers, and additives in different proportions, various intermediate hardness levels of liquid silicone can be achieved. The tensile strength of silicone products refers to the force required per unit area to tear a sample of rubber material. The tensile strength range of heat-cured solid silicone rubber is between 4.0 and 12.5 MPa, the range of fluorosilicone rubber is between 8.7 and 12.1 MPa, and the tensile strength range of liquid silicone rubber is between 3.6 and 11.0 MPa.
