Pearlite thermal insulation boards are a new type of exterior wall insulation boards that integrate thermal insulation, heat insulation, and waterproofing functions.
The expansion process of perlite is a formation of bubbles. The quality of expanded perlite depends on the bubble content within its structure. The more bubbles, the better the insulation properties. In this process, two issues must be addressed: the formation of bubbles and the stability of bubbles. Clearly, without forming a large number of bubbles, it is impossible to significantly reduce the bulk density of perlite, and the insulation effect will be poor. On the other hand, even if a large number of bubbles are formed, if they are unstable and escape in large quantities, it is still impossible to create expanded perlite with good insulation properties.
