In the process of coil rolling production, most coil rolling steel processing involves pressure processing of steel to induce plastic deformation in the processed steel (slabs, ingots, etc.). Depending on the processing temperature of the coil rolling steel, it is differentiated into cold rolling and hot rolling. The main processing methods for coil rolling steel include:

Rolling: A pressure processing method where steel billets are passed through the gap of a pair of rotating rolling mills (various shapes), causing the material cross-section to decrease and length to increase due to compression by the rolls. This is the most commonly used production method for steel used in coil production, mainly used to produce steel profiles, plates, and pipes. It is divided into cold rolling and hot rolling.

Forging steel for rolled tubes: A pressure processing method that utilizes the reciprocating impact force of a forging hammer or the pressure of a press to change the billet into the required shape and size. Generally divided into free forging and die forging, commonly used for producing large-size materials, roughing, and other rolled tube materials with larger cross-sectional dimensions.

Steel used for drawing rolled tubes: a process that involves pulling pre-rolled metal billets (shapes, tubes, products, etc.) through die holes to reduce the cross-section and increase the length, commonly used in cold working.

Extrusion: A process in which steel for coiled tubing is placed in a closed extrusion die, pressure is applied at one end to force the metal through a specified die cavity, resulting in finished products with the same shape and dimensions. This method is commonly used in the production of steel for coiled tubing in non-ferrous metals.
