Tufted carpet is a mechanical carpet used for backing woven fabrics of chemical fiber, formed by the use of tufting needles in a tufting machine to create a looped or cut pile surface, known as tufted carpet.
Primary Craft of Velvet Rugs
Material preparation involves weaving various chemical fiber yarns, including preheated and shaped polypropylene fibers, into base fabrics and pile fabrics required for tufting.
2. Establish the pile type, which involves setting chemical fiber yarns with mechanical guide wires on an acrylic fiber base cloth, forming a pile or cut pile with a uniform and dense nap or loop pile by high-speed stacking piles on the carpet surface.
Apply synthetic latex or polyester adhesive to the back of the carpet and bond the base fabric and tuft bundles into a solid, cohesive unit.
Step 4: Process organization, including felting machine flat surfaces, rubber blanket printing, carpet backing with or without yellow linen backing, steam fluffing, and carpet surface finishing.
