What to Consider When Designing a Hydraulic Pump Station

When designing hydraulic pump stations, it is essential to tailor the design to the specific application. A hydraulic pump unit refers to the hydraulic pump, its prime mover, the coupling, and the transmission base assembly. It is advisable to avoid a rigid connection between the hydraulic pump drive shaft and the motor drive shaft, typically using an elastic coupling. For large hydraulic pump units, the hydraulic pump and prime mover can also be connected with special motors featuring internal spline holes or medium-sized flanges. If the prime mover experiences significant vibration, a belt wheel or a similar arrangement should be used to connect the pump and the prime mover. The radial load on the pump shaft must not exceed the manufacturer's specifications; otherwise, a pair of bearing-supported brackets should be installed to mount the belt wheel or gears.

The oil tank design of the hydraulic station is crucial; it's wasteful if it's too large and unusable if it's too small. Structurally, it typically has a sloped bottom to ensure complete drainage and removal of sediment during hydraulic oil replacement. Therefore, the bottom of the hydraulic station's oil tank should be designed in a sloped manner; the bottom should not be made into a double-bottom structure, as this is不利于 heat dissipation.

The suction pipe of the hydraulic station should not be too close to the bottom of the box. It is best to avoid the suction pipe being too low and drawing impurities into the pump. The return pipe should extend below the liquid surface to prevent splashing of the return oil, which can create bubbles and noise.

If possible, it's advisable to separate the oil absorption area from the return oil area, which can enhance the circulation path for fluid flow and improve the cooling and air-separation effects. The height of the baffle should be appropriately set; too low and it won't be effective, too high and it may cause the hydraulic pump to suck air.

The air filter's flow rate should exceed the hydraulic flow rate to promptly compensate for the decrease in liquid level when the pump shaft extracts oil.

The fuel tank inner wall is treated with a spray painting process. The plastic features excellent resistance to acids and alkalis, good adhesion, strong impact resistance, and a uniform, glossy, and aesthetically pleasing appearance, making it a worthy choice for priority adoption.
