The bright surface tube rough polishing process is divided into three stages:
1. Polishing2. Semi-coarse polishing; 3. Coarse polishing.
Generally, the main equipment used for the coarse polishing of stainless steel bright pipes is the polishing head, as the roughness of this head determines the order of the polishing process.
Below, we provide a detailed description of the coarse polishing process for the entire stainless steel mirror finish tubes.
Detailed description as follows:
1. First, inspect the externally purchased items.Stainless steel industrial pipeInspect the surface quality for dents, uneven thickness, obvious deep scratches, and tube collisions, etc., as these defects may prevent completion even after multiple coarse polishing steps. Therefore, incoming material inspection becomes a crucial task in the coarse polishing process. Only high-quality incoming materials can ensure the normal operation of this process and deliver superior semi-finished products to the next stage.
If any of the aforementioned defects are found, the goods should be returned for material repair. If no defects are present, proceed to the rough polishing stage of this process.
2. Polishing, with80 grit polishing wheel mounted on the rotating shaftStainless steel industrial pipePolish the surface to eliminate the acid white spots on the industrial stainless steel pipes, gradually revealing a bright finish. This process also removes surface defects such as minor dents, minor scratches, and pull marks during the pipe production. The polished stainless steel pipes will have minimal large scratches and no dings, with a surface roughness of 3.2μm after polishing. Operators must ensure the polished surface is intact and free of acid white residues. (It takes 8 minutes per meter.)
3. Semi-fine polishThe 120 grit polishing wheel is used to roughen the polished, bright surface stainless steel tubes after the grinding process. The primary purpose of the semi-coarse polishing is to correct the rough grinding marks, minor defects not reached by the grinding process, and some obvious dents. It also involves further rough polishing of the already ground stainless steel tubes, repeatedly polishing away the marks from the grinding process to achieve a smoother surface with no visible scratches or dents. After the semi-coarse polishing process, the surface roughness of the stainless steel tubes should reach Ra1.6μm. (The semi-coarse polishing process should not create new scratches or dings, as later processes cannot afford to correct defects.)
This process requires a total of1 meter in 6 minutes, and inspect the polishing quality with a flashlight)
4. Coarse polishing, the polishing action is the same as the previous mold, using240 grit polishing wheels for bright surface stainless steel tubes that have been semi-finished. The coarse polishing step involves smoothing out the semi-finished finish and attempting to eliminate obvious polishing marks. This process also refines the semi-finished bright surface stainless steel tubes, ensuring further brightness of the tubes. The surface roughness of the workpiece should achieve Ra0.8.Micron。
