Cable laying operations should be conducted under the unified command of a designated person. Prior to the work, the supervisor or overall commander should inform all workers of the job requirements, contact signals, and precautions. Operators should have clear divisions of labor, work in coordination, and take responsibility for their respective tasks. When working near residential areas, roads, and railway traffic lines, a designated person should be on site to supervise. A "Construction Ahead, Detour Vehicles" sign should be set up at the well, with a red sign at night.

When laying cables, select a hard and flat ground to support the cable well. The screw jack bracket used should be flexible, sturdy, and rotationally safe and reliable. When lifting the cable shaft bracket, ensure the end face of the cable shaft bracket is vertical and the drum is level. After removing the cable shaft protection panel, it should be stored properly to prevent nails from injuring feet.

As the cable is laid out in the trench, operators typically drag it to the end using their hands or shoulders. When turning, operators must stand on the outside of the cable to avoid being lifted by it; when laying nozzles or compartments, hands should be placed above the opening to prevent injury to fingers. Gloves must be worn while laying the cable.

Ensure that the cable bend radius is always within the allowable range during cable laying.

When laying cables in a trench, the trench should first be thoroughly cleaned of debris; there should be no hard or sharp objects in the sand and soil. When laying along walls or overhead, it must be firmly and reliably secured, with overhead installation complying with relevant safety regulations for overhead line construction.

In cases where multiple cables are laid within the same conduit or tunnel and it is necessary to move the operating cables, in addition to approval from the electrical engineering supervisor, on-site safety measures should be established, and a designated person should be instructed to move the cable length. Do not exceed...100m10kVAbove-mentioned cables are strictly prohibited from being moved while live. During the movement, the bending radius of the cable must be within the permitted range.

During the use of cable ends, fire precautions should be taken when heating with a blowtorch or open flame. Flammable materials, chemicals, and oils should be properly stored and kept away from heat sources.

When handling cable adhesive, wear protective gloves; when working with heated cable adhesive, use a bucket with a spout and lid. During transfer, be cautious to avoid spills or tipping over the adhesive, and wear overalls. In case of necessity, wear long-sleeved work clothes, shoe covers, and a mask.

When pouring cable glue at height, no one should be standing below. Operators must wear protective goggles. When heating cable glue or melting lead, wear a mask, gloves, and shoe covers, and stand into the wind. Measures should be taken to prevent individuals who are dripping with water from heating cable glue on-site. Prepare the spoon in advance when scooping molten lead. Heat to prevent splashing of the lead liquid.

Cable glue must be melted using a slow flame and is strictly prohibited from being ignited fiercely. Do not use a tin soldered container for heating, as the container should have an opening and a lid to prevent overflow.

During the production of epoxy resin cable heads, it is mandatory to wear a mask while drying quartz powder, as well as protective eyewear and gloves. The work area must be well-ventilated and operations should be performed on the windward side. In case of skin contact with amine curing agent, wash the area immediately with water and then wipe with alcohol. If dizziness or fatigue is experienced, leave the area immediately and rest in a well-ventilated area. For safety, it is recommended to use heat-shrinkable cables and heat-shrinkable cable heads as much as possible.
