Cast steel molding quartz sand is a hard, wear-resistant, and chemically stable silicate mineral, primarily composed of SiO2. The color of quartz sand is milky white or translucent, with a hardness of 7, brittle without cleavage, having a conchoidal fracture, an oily luster, and a density of 2.65. Its bulk density ranges from 1.6 (for 1-20 mesh) to 1.5 (for 20-200 mesh). The sand exhibits distinct anisotropy in its chemical, thermal, and mechanical properties, is insoluble in acid, slightly soluble in KOH solution, and has a melting point of 1750°C.
SiO2 ≥ 99~99.5%, Fe2O3 ≤ 0.02~0.015%. Made from selected high-quality ore and processed through complex methods. Particle size ranges from 5 to 480 mesh, available for custom production as per customer requirements. Appearance is either white or crystalline. Main applications include glass, glass products, refractory materials, foundry stones, casting, abrasive wheels, etc.
