Due to the unclear guidelines for separating recyclables from non-recyclables, I hope to understand the differences between the two to facilitate daily sorting.

On the streets or roads, there are many categorized trash bins, marked with recyclable and non-recyclable waste. Generally, two small bins are placed side by side, with openings facing both ends. However, many citizens directly throw their waste into the non-recyclable bins.

The concept of recyclable waste is quite vague.

Currently, many citizens are unsure about the recyclability of waste. They are unclear on which household waste can be sold and which cannot, but few are aware of what is actually recyclable, such as plastic bags, ice cream wrappers, and plastic cups, all generated from daily shopping. Nonetheless, I dare not throw any waste into the trash bin. How do I sort the trash bins?

Recycling waste primarily includes paper, plastic, metal, foam, glass, and more.

Paper: Newspapers, books,废纸, paper packaging boxes, etc. (Note: Items such as toilet paper and containers with liquids, like paper cups and milk cartons, are not recyclable.)

Plastics: Beverage bottles, plastic basins, buckets, cassette boxes, plastic toys, stationery, handbags, etc. (Note: Colorful packaging bags and food bags are not recyclable.)

Metal: cans, ultra-thin light boxes, metal stationery, toys, copper wire, iron wire, and other metal products
