Construction Quality Management of Domestic Wastewater Treatment Equipment

Aerobic Biofilter combines oxidation with filtration, representing a modified version of a typical biological filter. Due to its fine filling material and strong filtration effect, the effluent no longer requires sedimentation. The core technology involves selecting porous filter material as the biological carrier, resulting in several times the biomass per unit volume compared to the activated sludge method. This feature includes high treatment load capacity, small pond volume, and less land use. Moreover, the longer bubble travel distance and extended gas-liquid contact time during aeration, combined with repeated shearing through the filter material, ensure high oxygen utilization and low energy consumption. The construction schedule, design, and processing technology are technical measures and arrangements to ensure the quality of the project (product) during construction and manufacturing processes.

The short commissioning cycle and easy biofilm formation of the composite packing make the equipment start up quickly. The packing can achieve the biofilm formation process in about 2 weeks at water temperatures around 15 degrees Celsius. The operation can be temporarily stopped and restarted at any time. In cases where the equipment is not in use, the biofilm on the packing surface does not die but exists in the form of spores. Once water and aeration are introduced, the equipment can quickly recover to normal operation. This feature makes the equipment particularly suitable for wastewater treatment in areas with significant fluctuations in water volume. The mobile suspended packing of this equipment is mostly made of polyethylene or polypropylene plastic packing, which has a large surface area. The surface is easy for biofilm attachment and growth, and the clever structural design ensures that the packing does not clump or clog during use, maintaining an ideal porosity and providing aeration and water-permeability functions.
