The spiral plate heat exchanger is a device that consists of two parallel metal plate sheets rolled into two spiral channels, facilitating heat transfer between hot and cold liquids through the spiral-shaped plate walls.


Spiral plate heat exchangers offer advantages such as compact size, dense equipment, and low metal material consumption, making them suitable for industrial production in sectors like drying factories, oil, machinery and equipment, power engineering, environmental protection and energy conservation, and necessary heat conversion.


The spiral plate heat exchangers feature compact size, closely packed machinery, and low metal material consumption. They are suitable for heat transfer in liquid-liquid, gas-liquid, and gas-gas convection, steam condensation, and liquid evaporation. They are widely used in industrial production across various sectors, including chemical plants, oil refineries, pharmaceuticals, machinery and equipment, power engineering, environmental protection, energy conservation, and necessary heat conversion.

Spiral plate heat exchangers are widely used. Conversion heat exchangers and heat exchangers below the synthesis towers in large, medium, and small-scale ammonia plants have successively replaced shell-and-tube heat exchangers with spiral plate heat exchangers. For sodium hydroxide plants, the lithium battery electrolyte electric heaters and cooling towers for concentrated caustic soda solutions use the same machinery as spiral plate heat exchangers, at a cost just 1/3 of that for shell-and-tube heat exchangers. In addition, these heat exchangers are also effective for tower top condensation, quenching liquid cooling, sulfuric acid fuming cooling, and oleic acid cooling. This equipment excels in steam condensation and maintaining heat transfer without change, and can also be used for boiling heat transfer.
